ONCE UPON A TIME...

...it all started in the canteen of Mattias and Isaks office, two lost souls that discovered a mutual interest in music and started making plans of starting up a new band. The year was 2001 but we need to move back two more years to get to the bottom with this.

Mattias and Roger had found each other together with a guitar at a late night party through a mutual friend. They never got around to do more than to play a couple of Pearl jam covers but apparently Roger made such an impression that Mattias 2 years later(!) remebered it and picked up the phone to talk him into joining the new band! And once we got a place to rehearse we were on our way.

During the first year a couple of bass players were tested but there were always something missing. Finally Malin contacted us after reading an ad saying that we were searching for a bass player. The missing piece was found and together we immediately started working on material for recording our first demo. In the spring of 2003 we finally went into the studio for the first time and recorded 5 songs but finally only 3 were used on the demo. By the end of May we had our first gig.

Shortly after we had long discussions about the future ambitions with the band which resulted in that Isak decided to drop out We spent the summer searching for a new drummer and at the same time we also looked for a second guitarist. Finally we found Martin and Mirja-Karin and we were now a five piece band.

During the fall of 2003 we recorded our second demo and started our mission to conquer the stages of Stockholm ! After performing several gigs per month during mid 2003-2004 our confidence grew and in June we finished 3rd in the Swedish finals of the international music contest Emergenza.

Everything was pointing straight up for the band but underneath the surface we were suffocating and the end was inevitable sooner or later. In June 2004 Martin and Mirja-Karin parted ways with the band and once again the band stood before the challenge of finding new members.

But already by the end of the summer we were ready to rock again!! Our new found drummer Christopher and guitarist Jacob completed the band perfect! New energy was brought into the band and we grew more than ever. During December -04 / January -05 we recorded Myopic truth, a 5 track EP which was released in March.

During the summer of -05 Chris decided to move back north to finish his college studies. The band was somewhat beat from the hectic spring activities and took the summer off to regain energy and think about the future. When we met after the summer break the remaining members all agreed to move on and started writing new material along with searching for drummers. Meanwhile we were contacted by Warner Bros TV, USA . In September we signed a deal, allowing them to use our song Snap in their TV-productions. We considered it most as a fun thing to do but were of course very flattered with the recognition.

After having tested many good drummers Robin joined the band in October. But he wasn't to stay long in the band it turned out. Just after Christmas Malin dropped the next bomb by announcing that she had lost the motivation to struggle on. If this would have happen a couple of month earlier the band might not have survived but as we had a strong believe in the new written material we pulled ourselves together once more and found Anders who took over the bass. In this process Robin was replaced by Christer who used to play in Jacobs old band. The pieces finally seemed to fit and we could breathe a little deeper for a change.

During the summer of -06 we did some roadtrips to other cities and played at a couple of festivals, featuring several well known acts. In august we started recording the EP “A million ways to fail” which in many ways reflects the struggles we've had and mark a new beginning in the band history.

Now when looking back at the first five years it all seem like decades. A couple of members have joined and parted ways with us, in a couple of weeks we're releasing a new EP and still I have the same feeling as I did 5 years ago... We're still at the beginning - where will this take us?
